Description
The identity of the sitter is unknown, and has been identified speculatively as a member of the Tailor family. On stylistic grounds the portrait supports an attribution to an artist in the circle of the Spanish-Flemish artist John Baptiste Medina, although the handling of the flesh and draperies here is softer.
