Description

This severe design, much influenced by the manner of Servandoni’s work (see WW41), was made either for the side elevation of the Grand Council Room or equally could have been intended for the Academies of Painting and Sculpture (right-hand side) and of Architecture (left-hand side), shown on the ground plan, which were entered from the side.
