Description

The present painting, and its pendant, TN15, may have come from the collection of John Heywood Hawkins (1802–1877) at Bignor Park, West Sussex. There, Hawkins formed a large and significant collection of Dutch and Flemish landscapes, as well as owning a number of important paintings by Thomas Gainsborough.
